Carol Ann (Brombach) Leininger, 72, of Carleton, MI passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2023. She was born October 21st, 1950, to Michael and Grace (Bow) Brombach.

Carol was preceeded in death by her beloved husband, Kelvin Leininger, her adored parents, Michael and Grace (Bow) Brombach, sister Jan Tornambe, brother Michael Brombach and brother Thomas Brombach.

Carol was survived by her, son James (Erika) Crull, son Darrin (Cathy) Crull, son Brian (Kristina) Leininger, daughter Jennifer Crull Timberlake, daughter Michelle (Paul) Wahtola and son Craig Leininger. Carol is also survived by her sister Barb (Dan) Soares. She also leaves behind her 12 adored grandchildren and she will be missed greatly by her beloved dogs, Bronson and Cobra.

Carol liked to talk about her fond memories of her childhood growing up in Detroit in the 50's and 60's. She loved flea markets and garage sales and would attend any community events she could find, like fairs and festivals. She could never pass up a good deal, even if it meant buying something that she didn't really need because she could certainly find someone in her loving family that would "love" it! She cherished her time with her family and friends. She loved being outside swimming, working in her yard or patrolling the neighborhood with her dogs in tow. Like her beloved husband Kel, she loved classic cars. In her later years she especially looked forward to her annual vacations with her husband and his siblings.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother whose impact will be forever felt by her family, that loves her dearly. She was always thinking of others and always welcomed anyone as an adopted member of her extended family. Her passing has left a hole in the hearts of her family and friends that will be impossible to fill. Her ability to put others before herself, nurture, provide, support, and love will always be imprinted on everyone she ever came in contact with, even briefly.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 304 S. Monroe St., Monroe, MI 48161 from noon to 3pm. In respect of Carol's wishes, there will be no funeral or church services. We are using the church facilities to host a celebration of life gathering for the memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Salvation Army or the Humane Society.

Dear Carol

Celebrating Carol's life... I remember Carol more from grade school. She was always charming, smiley and friendly. She was very grounded, confident and intellegent. For Redeemer being a religious school we were socially ahead of our time. We were on the vanguard of "Women's Liberation" and Carol was ready.

Our generation was the transitional generation. The majority of our mothers were stay home mothers. Being a stay home mother never achieved their fair share of the importance their role played. Meaning they were still dependent on a husband for income...and often mobility...such as driving a car.

The world opened up for women in the 1960's. We were seeking equality in all quarters. Praying and singing "We Shall Over Come" for minorities and women alike. Women recieved equality rights in sports and job opportunities expanded exponentially.

Carol's life charcterized the christian values we learned in shcool. She shared them throughout her life shown in the new role of modern women. Meaning adapting and flurishing with multiple roles. As a mother, a worker, volunteer, seeker, giver, care provider, loving person with a world view of Christ great love for all.

Carol reading your life story... inspires me and many others I'm sure, of what we can achieve and become. Thank you dear sweet thing, your works will continue to change and make the world a better place as your goodness radiates like a rock thrown in a pond...with the rings of waves expanding outward with no end.

Yes...Thank you... thank you Carol for showing us our creators many possibilities as your being here shines like the sun...like God looking in a mirror...you were made for glory!!!

Mac Deuparo
